As noted by the fantastic folks from Beloved, 2016 has been a tumultuous ride through constant tests of will and spiritual resolve. In a move towards fostering the means through which people of the human community can build something brighter in 2017, Vote For Dancing comes as a beacon of light.
The 3-day event, to be held in Portland, Oregon this year, will feature some of the most forward thinking artists in the creative community, providing a space for reflection, and unadulterated fun this NYE. With the likes of CloZee, Desert Dwellers, Thriftworks, Beats Antique, Kalya Scintilla & Eve Olution, and The Polish Ambassador, it is assured that this will be one of the best gatherings for ringing in the new year.
Beginning on December 30th, with a night of raucous revelry, Beats Antique and Thriftworks cap off a sterling bill of talent to prep party people for the main event on the eve of the new year. On the 31st, you will be treated to a seemingly endless stream of gifted souls, Kayla Scintilla, Clozee, Desert Dwellers and The Polish Ambassador all in one night. The event closes with a community renewal day on January 1st featuring speakers, singers and an array of interactive offerings (like a juice and mimosa bar).
This event will provide a real-life model for the type of community interaction so desperately needed as we move towards the uncertain, turbulent future.
