It might be the nail in the coffin for Chark, but Chef Boyarbeatz is alive and well. “Corpse” marks the end of Chase Clark's project, which was a starring member of Joey Koppenheffer's In The Kitchen Vol. 1 unreleased ID mix.
True to form even in the end, Chark's brutalist take on bass meshes well with Chef's spare and striking dubstep mechanics. Though we're sad to see Clark's project go, fans coast to coast are curiously learning more about his collaborator, and a spatula has been passed in the test kitchen as Koppenheffer continues to tour with great frequency in 2023, picking right up where he was at the end of last year.
To extend this already tortured metaphor, Chark was part of the Wavecraft Collective takeover at The Untz Festival last year, and Chef Boyarbeatz finds himself officially on the festival this year (where he surprised the crowd with a secret set last year) playing three different sets: a solo sunrise set (always a legendary affair at our event), a B2B with fellow B-side Los Angeles resident, Oxōssi, and a yoga set along with Skoda to close out the weekend.
This monster from beyond the grave is out officially tomorrow (March 1), but you can pre-save it now.
