Mission Statement

To create the most relevant, accurate, and comprehensive, electronic music event, artist, promoter, and venue website

As fans of electronic music, we were frustrated having to search so many websites to find the information we were looking for. Specifically, we wanted to track our favorite artists, search upcoming local area events, and listen to music samples from a variety of electronic music genres. We wanted to visit one website for all of our electronic music informational needs. The Untz was created to fill this void.

The Untz connects the entire electronic music community of fans, artists and promoters. The website is designed to allow artists and promoters to add information and music. We organize all of this information so fans can easily search for, track, and share it.

Each user group’s needs and requirements were analyzed and evaluated during the development process. We pride ourselves on having created a fast, well organized, easy to navigate website that fully satisfies these needs.

How do I advertise?

The Untz is a great forum for promoting any sort of venture to fans of electronic music: artist releases, events, promotion/production companies, labels, merchandise, and venues. Rates for our various methods of advertisements vary based on size, rotation, and campaign length.

Anand Harsh has worked in nearly every facet of the media. At age 16, he joined the staff of WBAA, public radio from Purdue University, as an announcer, producer, and reporter. While at WBAA, his extensive background in music journalism and performance led him to become producer and host of a local music show. As an undergraduate, he also participated in a student-run television news program as anchor, director, and reporter, and eventually landed on the ground floor of the nascent Big Ten Network when it was launched in 2006, giving him a vast array of experiences in live television production. Upon graduation from Purdue, he received a scholarship from the Indiana Broadcasters Association and the Cushman Memorial Fellowship, which allowed him to continue his studies in journalism at Indiana University, whereby he received his Master’s Degree in Journalism from Indiana University.

Jordan Calvano (Reporter)

Jordan Calvano spent his childhood between the west coast of the US and South Korea. Extensive travels during his formative years lead to a diverse enthusiasm for music from around the world, which grew as he attended high school outside of Portland, Oregon. His love for electronic music and hip-hop started to blossom while attending college at Oregon State University, along with a growing interest in the fields of writing and journalism. This led to numerous media classes, an internship with Snowboarder Magazine, and joining The Untz team in January 2012. Jordan continues to pursue an American Studies degree in Bend, Oregon, where he spends his free time making hip-hop, snowboarding Mt. Bachelor, and consistently traveling to shows and festivals across the country.

After watching and reviewing hundreds of music artists, Gracie continues her studies in journalism by keeping up on EDM news and always searching for the next best thing.
