Without hesitation, The Untz staff decided that David Murphy and Alana Rocklin deserved to share the top spot on our list. What better way to honor the 17 years Murph put in with STS9, and the strong start Rocklin has already gotten off to, as evidenced by a rip-roaring two-night stand at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre this past weekend. The masterful low-end work David Murphy executed in his time with the band will forever be cherished, and fans are excited to see what his successor will do in the years to come. This was the easiest decision we ever made.
