Hardly any names in the glich-hop world carry as much weight as OPIUO. The glitchin', swingin', all-out bass monster Oscar Davey-Wraight is in the pantheon of glitch greats, and it's been in no small part to his dedication to the craft for more than a decade.
Originally from New Zealand, the DJ/producer now calls Melbourne in Australia home. He's returning to NZ for a huge tour this December, and in January, he'll hit Rainbow Serpent on the mainland. You can keep up with all his dates at opiuo.com/live.
Just this week, OPIUO released a monster remix of Pretty Lights' "Done Wrong." The re-working was part of a huge, free album release of A Color Map of the Sun: The Remixes, which stemmed from the source material that was recently nominated for a Grammy.
Today, Davey-Wraight premieres his remix for "Monarch," from fellow New Zealanders, Shapeshifter.
