Since the major release of Meraki and a ceaseless world tour including live band dates, New Zealand-born, Melbourne-based subsonic sorcerer Opiuo, is back with an epic new EP combining glitch and funk like never before. Collaborating with fellow Kiwi act Shapeshifter, the double track EP Slug A Bug combines live instrumentation with the classic Opiuo glitch-hop style to create a finely crafted blend of bouncy funk that all fans of this producer have grown to love.
The "Slug A Bug" single also comes with an official music video created by Kit Bennett X Round 3 and helped made by NZ On Air Music. This video has the same psychedelic vibes as previous video release, "Quack Fat," created by Dropbear. The guitar, drums, and vocals in unison with the glitch driven bass tones go hand in hand with this artistic visual accompaniment.
All in all this new project leaves you wondering what plans Opiuo has in his future as he keeps on developing an ever increasingly unique sound and style that leaves you bouncing in your seat.
