Coming off a huge year, Kaminanda is breaking out in 2016 with a brand new album. On January 19, he releases The Infinite Breath via Kalya Scintilla's Merkaba Music label. Fans will be treated to global glitch and psychedelic dubby goodness spanning 10 tracks--each its own little journey. Plus, they get to bask in that beautiful artwork from Luke Brown.
Today's premiere, "Celestial Dub," delivers on the 'dub' in style. Sparkling synths decorate a tropical beat with plenty of wubs and a powerful drum track that moves and grooves in all directions. Delicate strings move in on this one, that will no doubt be replicated live on guitar on special Kaminanda sets. Fans of the classic psydub of Ott and the otherworldly productions of Bluetech will be in sonic heaven. The entire album delivers, and rabid sub-bass junkies need wait only one week to unearth its goodness.
Kaminanda is busy on the road, as always, knocking out dates in Asheville, NC, Greenville, SC, and Seattle, WA this weekend, Boise, ID next weekend, and has a big date in Cleveland, OH on February 19th at the Agora for Radiate with UZ, Savant, Wuki, and Exmag.
Of course, the big news is that Kaminanda will be joining plenty of his psy bass friends (including label head Kalya Scintilla), Phutureprimitive, Desert Dwellers, Sixis, and more at The Untz Festival breaking ground at Mariposa County Fairgrounds in Mariposa, CA from June 2-4 in northern California this summer. It's going to be a doozy, just like this new album. Get excited.
