This fall, The Untz has the distinct pleasure of presenting one of the most exciting tours for fans of psychedelic and underground bass. The Earth Heart Tour features the downtemple dub and tribal trance of Desert Dwellers and Kalya Scintilla & Eve Olution, but these earth conscious artists want fans to know that it's about much more than the music.
Before most of the tour's club and theater shows, the artists will be hosting community gatherings, bringing together eco-conscious artists with eco-solutions activists to galvanize each city's advocacy base. By collecting likeminded individuals, the members of The Earth Heart Tour hope to align the community's sustainability experts with an active and excited team, ready to start changing their community--literally from the ground up.
"We want to co-create an experience in every city to be authentically inspired and nourished in a unified community where we can discover solution-based organizations and businesses who are making evolutionary changes right now," Eve Olution notes. "We are on the precipice of choosing life or greed on this planet, and we choose life. A thriving planet for us all is in our hands and creating art together we are hoping to inspire people's heart to be blown open by the visceral experience of coming together to learn, grow, and create infinite possibilities."
The pre-show community gatherings will bring regionally specific seed bombs to fans, courtesy of Seedles. The organization's founder, Chris Burley, explains the mission succinctly: "We aim to inspire people to grow one billion wildflowers to bring back the bees and ensure a sustainable food system for their future. We do this by creating Seedles, a fun and easy way to grow wildflowers. They are colorful balls of compost, clay, worm castings and native, non-GMO seeds that when left on the ground sprout into wildflowers."
Educational videos and presentations will draw attention to the rock stars of the eco solutions world like Paul Stamets and his mycological organization Fungi Perfecti, and permaculture guru Geoff Lawton. The Earth Heart Tour also seeks to find heroes of the sustainability fight in each community, and connect disparate members in each city.
"This is a movement we are all a part of whether we are aware or not," Eve Olution reminds us, "So let's be aware and bring more love, more heart to the reality of real actions of sustainability, eco solutions to mass destruction, and a take root in choosing a new thriving way of life together."
