Now in its 10th year, Wakarusa Music Festival has earned the right to drop the hammer. The major music festival which takes place May 30 through June 2 this year, once again at Mulberry Mountain in Ozark, AR, has unveiled its second round of artist announcements, which is absolutely chock full of some of the biggest and brightest names in electronic dance music. It's trite, but there really is something for everyone. For those who like to get twisted and weird, Shpongle will be returning with his Masquerade. For those who like it heavy, but have a brain, Gramatik will make his triumphant return. Trap enthusiasts can rejoice at the addition of RL Grime and Baauer. Fans of the tribal and downtempo sounds can get in on some Emancipator, Karsh Kale, and Andreilien. Hip-hop heads get AraabMUZIK. House fans get Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Abakus. And it wouldn't be a festival without the jam elements from livetronica acts Papadosio and The Werks. And finally, for those who love to get their minds blown, there's this guy Amon Tobin. Kudos to the festival organizers for spreading the love across all genres and niche interest groups, and kudos to them for keeping this whopping lineup under their hats. Sources close to the festival have noted that the bill has been set since October. Imagine the pulsing excitement that awaits the third and final phase of artists on January 17th. This is going to get interesting.
