1. Electric Daisy Carnival - Las Vegas, NV - June 21st-23rd
It’s the big one folks, and an event we know you’ve heard about. What EDC lacks in ambiance and location is made up by Insomniac booking every single major producer that has ever existed across the history of time, and that’s not an understatement. Basically on some New York Yankees type shit, if you catch our drift. Off to the speedway ya’ll, and what’s that old saying go? What happens at EDC Vegas gets posted all across the Internet…that’s the one.
0. Burning Man - Black Rock City, NV - August 25-Sept 2
Zero?? Yes, that’s right. Because Burning Man is ground zero of anything that’s ever happened in the festival culture, or otherwise. Did you know a BETA version of Google Maps was tested out on the Playa? That’s right. Incredible performances, ground-breaking art and innovation, and a giant cashless community of total freedom of expression is the end all be all of festival experiences. Everything was represented out in the desert this year, from the miraculous recovery of Dave Tipper from heart surgery to perform a surprise sunrise set, to P. Diddy. YES, that P. Diddy. Pink parasol and all. God bless him.
