I've seen some pretty insane New Year's Eve lineups in my day, but I'm hard pressed to think of one that competes with Coalesce. In fact, Cosmic Synergy has collected a majority of the cutting-edge artists across the psybass spectrum under one roof in the Bay Area, and it's coming up in less than two months.
From December 29-31, the last gasps of 2018 will be drowned out in The Craneway Pavilion in Richmond, California and a star-studded lineup will make it the focus of the progressive, psychedelic, and experimental electronic music world.
Headed up by a double dose of Tipper, fans will also enjoy the only downtempo Liquid Stranger set of 2018. Back that up with Amon Tobin's alter ego, Two Fingers, and the first Spoonbill set on the west coast in more than a decade, and you've got something brewing.
The veteran acts are supported by the young guns of glitch in Jade Cicada, Detox Unit, BogTroTTeR, Sixis, Frequent, and a three-headed Ultrasloth monster comprised of bioLumigen, Duffrey, and kLL sMTH. On top of that, you've got some major gastropod action with a ??? x Kursa x ??? headscratcher and a K.L.O. chaser.
Beyond tickling your auditory senses, your eyes will be dazzled by an equally powerful assortment of VJs (including Fractaled Visions, Carey Thompson, b1n4ry, Pickles, Datagramma, and more) and live painters (Alex & Allyson Grey, APEX Collective, Spectraleyes, and the list goes on).
Early Worm and Early Bird passes are gone, so your best bet is to hop on Tier 1 tickets now. If there's one thing I know, it's that these tickets are going to become difficult to come by. RSVP on the Event Page and we'll see you in the Bay to bid goodbye to 2018.
