1. iLL Type Moves
Back in 2011, we were assembling a digital music sampler with Bassnectar, FreQ Nasty, Thievery Corporation, and more figures in the scene we wanted to share with our growing fan base. We reached out to this kid we knew who had been hustlin' in the midwest, and he sends us "iLL Type Moves." This was our first real sense of what GRiZ was. What he had become in the transformation from GK, and what he was going to be. This was our first inkling of what was to come, but we really had no idea we were sitting on the origin story. This is the spider that bit the boy that turned him into SuperSaxman.
And he's still got the moves.
