Everyone I've talked to who managed to get their hands on the new SMKSGNLS EP, Pyramids, dropping May 9th on Saturate Records is going absolutely bananas. Carrier and artistic genius Jeremiah Allen Welch have formed the bass music super-duo and the reviews are in: these guys absolutely crush. The new EP features four monster originals followed up by four monster remixes from the likes of Moniker, Ethan Glass, BOATS, and Hamburg's own yunis.
yunis dropped his own Saturate EP, Distorted Sines, just last month, but there's no rest for the wickedly talented. The “2077” remix is as gritty and unrelenting as the original, but yunis did some fancy drumwork that really brings this one to life for the head-nodding masses. Front to back, this is up there with some of Saturate's best releases of the year, and I realize we're only halfway through, but I think this is going to rise to the top as the cream of the 2017 Saturate crop.
