Summer is flying by, and we want you to make the most out of your festival season. The Untz just had to tell you about this fest coming up in two weeks with a vivacious lineup you’ll need to do a double-take for.
Moonrise Festival is taking place August 9-10 under a full moon on a large race track outside downtown Baltimore, MD.
Headliners Kaskade (Saturday) and Bassnectar (Sunday) are being supported by a slew of heavyweights and up-and-comers like Excision, STS9, Zeds Dead, Lotus, Infected Mushroom, Bro Safari, Adventure Club, Rusko, EOTO, Paper Diamond, Papadosio, Carnage, Zoogma, and so many more.
Peep the full lineup and you’ll agree there is definitely something for everyone, mixing underground and some mainstream acts with sub genres from countless spectrums.
The festival will take place on the infield of the mile-long Pimlico Race Course, which will be properly transformed to an auditory and sensory pleasing state with everything set up around an enormous ferris wheel. Designed for massive production, there will be quality sound systems, projection screens, and visual artists.
There are parking lots surrounding the venue and it is also easily reachable by taxi or public transit. Hotels should be booked in the downtown Baltimore or Towson area.
Tickets are available in the form of one-day passes ($95) or two-day passes ($150). VIP passes are also available as one-day ($150) or two-day ($250), and include express entry, premier viewing areas, bars, and restrooms, a t-shirt, and laminate.
After having to cancel the first Moonrise last year due to permit issues, the organizers have selected a larger venue and taken a different approach than 2013. On top of that they have booked a unique and stellar lineup with lots of gems. Interested? We love you guys, so we’re giving away a pair of two-day passes.
