As anticipation for the Creature Carnival continues to grow, Beats Antique adds fuel to the fire with another genre-defying twist to add to the innovative act's pigeonhole-smashing catalog.

Sidecar Tommy, David Satori, and Zoe Jakes keep conquering new territory on the world map, this time setting blaze to the Desert Blues of west Africa. When Ali Farka Toure got a hold of American bluesman John Lee Hooker's sound, the surfy blues rock riffs in Malian scales gave birth to a whole new brand of music.

Little did the legends know that Beats Antique would cruise through the region, collecting pieces from here and there to add to their world music gumbo. Taking stabbing horns from neighboring Afrobeat center Nigeria, and throwing in some bombastic percussion to drive the point home, "Sideswipe" is a bubbling cauldron of wild influence and pure adrenaline.

The new tune is a mere taste of what the three-piece, along with its menagerie of mythological creatures, will be taking across the nation in the psychedelic circus known as Creature Carnival. With noted acts Shpongle (Simon Posford DJ Set), Emancipator, and Lafa Taylor in tow, this ground-breaking tour is the biggest transformational caravan of its kind.
