Beloved hip-hop producer Amp Live has been tapped by the 9th annual Gem & Jam Festival to whip up a 30-minute mix of some of the acts decorating this stacked lineup. The festival returns to Tucson, AZ February 6-8, 2015 to coincide with the annual Tucson Gem and Mineral show, which brings more than 50,000 people to the beautiful southwestern destination each year to geek out on all the geological wonders.
Art is at the center of this festival, which brings out Alex and Allyson Grey each year to anchor the speaking and live painting roles, joined by a bevy of internationally recognized artists from around the world and across many media. That being said, Challenger, Infinite Music, New Earth Muziq, and Euphonic Conceptions always band together to assemble a jaw-dropping list of electronic, jam, and funk acts to bring the focus right back around to the music.
Amp Live assembled a rip-roaring mix that includes selections from Emancipator, Papadosio, The New Mastersounds, Kaminanda, Thriftworks, and many, many more. Varying wildly in sound and style, Amp Live is able to ingeniously weave these colorful threads into a sonic tapestry as rich as the festival. Download this marvel for free, and join him and ill-Esha in San Francisco, CA in a week (January 8) for the Bay Area Gem & Jam pre-party (click for tickets)!
