North Coast Music Festival (Aug 30-Sep 1 - Chicago, IL) reveals final lineup
Published: July 2, 2013
On the heels of a wildly successful Spring Awakening Festival, Chicago's biggest electronic promoters React Presents and their partners at Silver Wrapper are putting the finishing touches on their massive Labor Day extravaganza, North Coast Music Festival. Taking place August 30th through September 1st in Chicago's Union Park, North Coast has traditionally sported a raucous blend of dance music, jam bands, indie, and hip-hop.
This year is no different. The latest additions to the bill include three huge names from the world of electronica: A-trak, Gramatik, and Emancipator. In true North Coast fashion, the promoters have added a giant pop act on top--Passion Pit--and followed through with some cool offerings like The Werks and Dirty Dozen Brass Band. They join another fun horn act, Brassft Punk (you can pretty easily figure out what that is), and a slew of major acts including Lotus, the Disco Biscuits, Afrojack, Big Gigantic, and the list goes on.
There will be after-parties galore being announced over the next few months, and rest assured knowing you've got a place to crash by hopping on some of their hotel package deals. It beats trying to find a couch at 4am with that wind whips off the lake and bites you in the ass. For more information, tickets, and to check out some of those packages, visit northcoastfestival.com.
