On August 8-9th there is a behemoth of a festival taking place at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. Steez Promo and Glow DC have pulled out all the stops with this year's Moonrise Festival, and the lineup is the one of the most stacked bills on the east coast. Definitely the most promising festival in Maryland, to date. Huge names from all over the EDM scene decorate the entire lineup. You literally want to see every name on the bill. It will be hard to make the decision of who to skip and who to see. Every stage you go to will be a helluva show.
First of all two of the most loved acts in the scene are the headliners. Bassnectar on the 8th and Above & Beyond the 9th. Yes, two totally different vibes but two totally respected acts. Both bringing different types of crowds yet all encased with love and appreciation.
The lineup never slows down from entrancing sax of Big Gigantic, to the unmatched heaviness of Datsik and the overwhelming energy of Knife Party. Moonrise will be chugging along spewing out ferocity for the people of Baltimore. The revered Zeds Dead will be taking the stage along side the always enjoyable Dillon Francis and the hauntingly intruiging Die Antwoord.
Every name on this line up is of notable status. It's hard to highlight just a few but here are some must sees. Trap master Brillz, What So Not, Zomboy, some true UK dubstep with Doctor P and real deal house from TJR. Some of the names billed lower blow my mind. The artists in the smallest print are all heavyweights. Some serious party music with AC Slater, electric funk from The Floozies, Funtcase & Cookie Monsta bringing that heavy shit, LOUDPVCK, Ookay, Snails, The M Machine, Slander. There are too many good people on this bill!
All the acts above non negotiable. You need to see them. There is so much good music packed into two raging days at the Pimlico Race Course it's hard to even comprehend. You are not going to want to miss out on this festival grab tickets now!
