Chicago livetronica and future funk trio LWKY has its sights set on The Untz Festival. Just over two weeks away from its west coast festival debut, this talented threesome is cranking out some new tunes to spring on fans in California.
Fresh off the release of Lün, Zacker Harper, Derek Outson, and Kevin Moze already have a new EP poised for release next week. Amber really showcases how far these guys have come in just the past couple of months.
The lead single, "Urban Crawl," is a gritty electro-soul take mixed with dirty blues riffs. Pack on plenty of bass, and you've got a recipe for a dance floor destroyer. LWKY has been destroying its fair share of dance floors in the midwest, spoking out from its Chi-city home base. You can catch a whiff of that powerful funk from this recap video from the Miramar in Milwaukee with their future funk ally Artifakts. We're excited to bring that vitality and energy to the left coast for these guys' very first time. We want all the credit when they break big.
Harper, Outson, and Moze are packing up and heading west, and they want you to join them at The Untz Festival, running June 2-4 at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds in Mariposa, California. They join other future funkateers SugarBeats, Marvel Years, and Turbo Suit. Get on board, these guys are comin' in hot.
