The bulk of the population equates the fear of public speaking and death with having to move. Yeah, it's a drudgery: telling all your friends your new address, figuring out where all your stuff is going to go.
But when it's all said and done, you've painted a blank canvas with all your stuff, and hopefully, it turns out better than it ever was.
That's the story with Luna Light Festival. The party is moving to Camp Ramblewood in Darlington, MD for its October 1-4 weekend blast. Gorgeous trees, water features, and the pleasant rolling landscape of the mid-Atlantic waits to greet fans on the new property.
The sprawling, 200-acre resort could easy hold five thousand plus, but the organizers behind the event want to maintain the intimate feel, and make sure nobody feels like they're sardined on top of one another, and they're capping it at 2500. No need to sell extra tickets if fans are going to be miserable, but that means you need to be on top of them!
Camp Ramblewood features cabins with electricity, fancy Tempur-pedic Mattresses, and full plumbing, but these bad boys are about to sell out. Talk about glamping! Better hurry if you want to stay in luxury on-site.
The property also features late-night rustic barns and a 2000+ person capacity indoor venue, so the party continues all night, and you don't have to worry about getting shut out of the show. The beautiful grounds feature a pond with a bridge to camping, and there's plenty of on-site parking, so you're never too far from your vehicle.
We haven't even begun to talk about the music!
Just this week, Michal Menert and The Pretty Fantastics, his new 6-piece band, announced it will be making the trip to Luna Light. This stripped down version of the Big Band still packs all the energy and emotion of the full unit, and Menert's songs come to life with the addition of horns, drums, and more. They've got a full 2-hour headlining set up their sleeves.
Psychedelic rock legends Ozric Tentacles make the trip across the pond to trip fans out with their winding jams. These guys are absolute rock gods, and the influence they've had on the festival scene, not to mention the entire psychedelic movement in incalculable.
Joining these guys are an assortment of festival bigshots like Papadosio, who also has a two-hour slot, Keller Williams & The Keels, and The Hornitz as artists-at-large. There's also Dopapod, Ott, Desert Dwellers, Kaminanda, Blockhead, Thriftworks, Plantrae, Dixon's Violin (who will be featuring his popular TEDx talk for one of his sets), Skytree, and Living Light, among others, so this festival has a little taste of it all.
In addition to the music, there are tons of workshops and lectures, with morning and evening yoga to coincide with sunrise and sunset, as well as slackline, hooping, and poi workshops, and tons of art installations. Warm yourself by the beachside bonfires when the sun has set.
Grab your general admission advance tickets now at $150, because they will go up to $175 at the gate. And if you're interested in the VIP slots, you better get hustling, because fewer than 50 remain!
Visit lunalightfestival.com for all the info you need, and to scoop those tickets. We'll see you out at Ramblewood in October!
