With so many festivals kicking off the season Memorial Day weekend, it will definitely be a tough choice on which to attend, but by the looks of it Electric Daisy Carnival New York is going to be an epic weekend for many EDM fans.
May 24-25, EDC NY will be in full swing at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Insomniac always raises the bar in terms of special effects, creative production, large-scale entertainment options, and overall energy. This year’s lineup follows the same note. Featured artists Bassnectar, Hardwell, Tiësto, Adventure Club, Afrojack, Borgore, Calvin Harris, DJ Snake, Nero, and Sander Van Doorn are just the start of the star-studded lineup.
Tickets
Two-day Regular Admission tickets are currently available for $240, and single day passes will run you around $142 for Saturday or $132 for Sunday access. Regular Admission will give you entry to the multiple music stages, carnival rides, and vendor village. Remember you must be 18+ (with an ID) to enter the event!
VIP tickets are available for two-day and single day admission to those who are 21+. Entertainment
Aside from the awesome EDM-filled lineup of over 60 artists, Electric Daisy Carnival New York will bring their new and improved, larger-than-life entertainment options that will be sure to make your jaw drop.
Every year is different for Insomniac and EDC, in terms of over the top entertainment, so it’s no surprise that Insomniac CEO and Founder Pasquale Rotella confirms this, “Everything from the stage production to the theatrical costumes will be bigger and better. I am so inspired by the energy and passion of the fans and I want to give them an experience that matches their enthusiasm.”
Full-scale art installations are key to any music festival these days, and EDC has plenty, including some real live art pieces. No, I’m not talking about live artists (although there will be plenty for you to enjoy), I’m talking about theatrical dancing performances by some of EDC’s finest performers. They are accompanied by water works, illuminated art, special effects, and fire displays. Plus, don’t miss the nightly fireworks -- they are killer!
But lets not forget about the carnival. Electric Daisy Carnival isn’t called a carnival for nothing! The grounds are littered with full-sized carnival rides free for anyone to enjoy when you aren’t exploring the diverse music and exploring the vendor village for an artsy souvenir.
Electric Daisy Carnival provides the EDM scene with the best music and the biggest, baddest, and best live entertainment in the Western Hemisphere. So, if you live anywhere near New York City (or New Jersey), or can make the trip, do so, because this year’s Electric Daisy Carnival is sure to be full of craziness (in the best possible way of course!).
