Bay Area VibezThe Bay Area is the home of The Untz, but it's also the home of some of this country's most celebrated artists. We're talking the Grateful Dead, Etta James, and Huey Lewis. If you can't get down to Sports, you're not a human. But finally, the City by the Bay gets to welcome home one of our favorite acts, and throw one hell of a party at the same time. The inaugural Bay Area Vibez festival makes its mark September 26-27 at Middle Harbor Shoreline Park in Oakland, CA.

One of the Bay Area's favorite sons gets an opportunity to shine on his home turf like never before. Lorin Ashton has soaked up so much of the city that his wildly inventive style of underground bass music is a melting pot of sounds from across the eons. Peforming and producing as Bassnectar, he's pretty much made himself one of the top touring electronic music acts in the country, all without the help of mainstream media (much like the aforementioned Dead).

Joining Bassnectar are a bevy of bass music delights like Paper Diamond and another Oakland staple Dimond Saints (who even incorporated a beloved Bay neighborhood into their name). You've also got legends in the field like Z-Trip and Cut Chemist, who will wow fans young and old with their mixing, spinning, and mashing. There's also plenty of non-dance music on the bill in the form of Nas, Damian Marley, Stephen "Ragga" Marley, Meshell Ndegeocello, and neo-soul superstar Aloe Blacc.

There will be plenty of bonuses, in addition to the lineup, including a silent disco, local artisans sharing both incredible artwork and some of the delectable food that has made the Bay a foodie's paradise, and plenty of craft beer to satisfy even the most discerning palates.

You can find a multitude of ticket options at www.bayareavibez.com including single day tickets for $85, as well as two-day tickets coming in at $160. You can even upgrade to a VIP ticket for $225 for either day, or go all in with a $400 VIP ticket for both days, that includes a private wine and beer garden, select organic snacks, and easy access to the grounds.

Celebrate the best of the Bay with incredible music, food, and drinks. These are the Vibez you're looking for.
