Fusing livetronica with the sounds of electro-soul, Colorado's Transfer Station is beginning to make a name for itself in the southwest. Members Scott Rhatigan and Dylan Gunn have taken their road-tested sound to the studio once more, and will soon be releasing a brand new EP, Excursions II.
Today, we premiere "The Countdown," which takes plenty of bass and hip-hop flavors, and throws some shreddy guitar on top for an all-out rocker of a tune. Of all the 'countdown' songs out there, this is our favorite. Sorry, Asia.
Gunn and Rhatigan will be helping kick off Gem & Jam festivities at the Green Room in Flagstaff, AZ next week (February 10), as part of the new Wednesday weekly Soulective presented by Culture Shockat the iconic venue. Then they head to the Tempe, AZ Gemapalooza event on February 11 at Shady Park to rouse the rabble in the greater Phoenix area.
Don't forget, Transfer Station will be performing at our inaugural festival June 2-4 in Mariposa, CA. At The Untz Festival fans will see some of the best in livetronica including Turbo Suit, Dynohunter, Greener Grounds, and more.
