Most artists in electronic music can safely be categorized as producers, but BT is by all means a composer. His idiosyncratic take on sound design stands alone amongst a highly combative field of illustrious associates, making his meticulous focus towards crafting music all the more impactful. A Song Across Wires is a true testament to this, mobilizing an army of talented vocalists and musicians to join in on his distinctive approach to building a record. The result was pure progression, carefully juxtaposing poignant with jubilant throughout twelve cohesive creations. “Skylarking” serves as the album’s introductory message, gently guiding listeners in with a lengthy build and awe-inspiring harmonies. Eleven minutes, but it feels more like five. Also, we highly recommend streaming the album’s “Full Continuous Mix.” You can thank us later.
