Top 10 Defunk Summer JamsEditor's note:

In our continuing series of artist curated content, we've tapped one of our funkiest friends, Logan Anderson, to give us a rundown of his Top 10 Summer Jams. You sure can't wear white after Labor Day, but you can still enjoy these summery tunes that Defunk can't get enough of--fall can wait.

We've been absolutely blown away by the strides that Anderson has made over the past couple of years. Bursting out of Canada with the funkiest and most eclectic repertoire of sounds, ranging from straight up glitch-hop to future funk to hard-hitting dubstep, he's found his way to several big players in the scene, and continues to find new audiences.

This past July, Defunk released his phenomenal album, Delights, on Nick Middleton's (The Funk HuntersWestwood label to rave reviews from critics, and he's been on a tear through the festival circuit all season. Later this month, Logan joins Big Gigantic for the annual Rowdytown blowout at Red Rocks. Keep your eyes and ears on Defunk, and he'll extend the season with these fun tunes. Viva la summer!

10. D'Angelo - Sugah Daddy (PEGA5U5 Remix)

This just oozes funk, and in a really refreshing way. One of the best sets I've seen all year was Mr. Rogers, whose new project is PEGA5U5 with his brother Pharroh, quite a talented rapper in his own right. Really cool take on saxophone warping and making it seem like you're tripping balls listening to this song.

9. Lion Babe - Treat Me Like Fire (Snakehips Remix)

This feels like a huge R&B throwback, and I love it! Snakehips is real good feel good, driving to the beach music. That's why this is a huge summer time song for me.

8. Hayden James - Something About You (Odesza Remix)
Somehow Odesza has nailed a formula that works everytime. Their sound is so beautiful and infectious that whether or not you need in your face bass music, their music moves you. This track is so uplifting and perfectly balanced I can't praise it enough.
