We are obsessed with Liquid Stranger. Have been for the longest time, and will continue to be.
When it comes to the dark side of the electronic music scene, Martin Stääf has it covered. The oozing underbelly of the bass music scene is where he's constructed his lair, which contains innumerable creepy crawlies darting between dripping pools of sticky substances.
He can bring it hard, with a thousand shocking decibels of pounding bass, or he can get all glitchy, drippy, and psychedelic on you. Even more impressive, is that he can go all the way downtempo and lure you into a total blissful trance. We've been witness to these special downtempo Liquid Stranger sunrise sets, and boy is it a sight (and sound) to behold.
Stääf's got such an impressive back catalog, we had to turn it over to our fans to help us wrangle the absolute best from his repertoire. We thank each and every one of your who helped us cultivate this list.
10. Warhead
Best to kick things off with a stomper. Classic Rottun sound--no wonder Excision digs the Stranger.
9. Dive ft Jahdan Blakkamore, Messinian, OHM Daddy
Frequent collaborators jump on this dubby one from Stääf. We absolutely love his island flair. Pretty good for a guy from the Arctic Circle.
8. The Gargon
We don't condone drug use, but if you happen to be tripping your nuts off on a doctor recommended dosage of cough medicine, for instance, perhaps you should sit back, relax, and melt away to this video.
