Bringing the magic and mayhem of Burning Man to southern California, The Dirty Beetles claimed an old Lightning in a Bottle spot for the Boogaloo Mountain Jam, a crazy party April 24-26 at Oak Canyon Ranch in Silverado.
A lot of familiar names from Cali fests have made their way to this wacky lineup, which covers the gamut from trap to house, and everything in between. Between young hotshots and legends of the electronic music circuit, there really is something for everyone.
And no, that's not a cheesy line. It's true.
Of course there are live bands, and the requisite yoga and workshops, but a special emphasis is placed on art cars and cool costumes, bringing a bit of that Playa vibe to the greater Los Angeles area. Like anybody in LA county needed an excuse to dress up and go party, am I right? Jabba the Hutt's sail barge is gonna be there, that's reason enough to go!
This festival is brand new to us, but there are plenty of names on here that make us feel right at home, so for those who are on the fence about their attendance--not to worry. We've got you covered.
We've compiled a list of the 10 acts you absolutely gotta see when you're on the ranch. So strap it down and don't delay, because time is a ticking.
Go grab your tickets at boogaloomtnjam.com, post haste!

This duo impressed the hell out of us with a Deadmau5 remix that has since disappeared from the internet (thanks Obama?). No worries, their future bass sound continues to permeate the ether and find its way to us via the internet's tube system (thanks Gore?).
