This year, The Untz Festival honored the dons of bass music who put the UK scene on the map and made dubstep a household sound.
In 2019, our festival will feature the future of bass, highlighting acts pushing the boundaries of existing genres, and inventing new ones.
A familiar face returns to the top of our 2019 lineup. Space Jesus is back with his rabid Wakaan fan base and his electrifying live set. Jasha Tull has exploded since playing The Untz Festival 2017, hitting Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Red Rocks in front of giant crowds. We are thrilled to bring him back to the intimate Mariposa Fairgrounds in Mariposa, California.
Joining him at the top of the heap is Subcarbon Records wunderkind Boogie T. Young Brock Thornton has taken the bass scene by storm over the past few years, releasing heaps of tracks and big remixes and collabs with the flair and panache of an expert six-string showman.
Since The Untz Festival's inception back in 2016, fans have been demanding we bring Aaron Triggs to our northern California home, and we are finally able to welcome Bleep Bloop to our lineup. He has pumped out tons of slimepunk favorites, including his latest EP, Prologus Auxilium, which features collabs with fest alums Tsuruda and Mr. Bill.
We are jumping on the riddim train with a full head of steam. Please welcome bigwigs Subtronics, Al Ross, and HE$H to the lineup, and prepare yourself for the Gravedancer Takeover, which will blow minds when its plans are unveiled.
Our dreams are coming true with another takeover, this one in the form of the UK's Slug Wife family. Kursa and K.L.O. are absolute highlight bookings for us, and their surprise guest is going to rev up our fans into a frenzy.
Each year, we have an Early Arrival Party on the Friday of the festival. On May 31st, glitch legend Freddy Todd headlines our kickoff alongside returning champion Of The Trees, and more acts to be announced. We can't stress enough how important it is you join us for the opening night.
As always, our friends at Wormhole and ShadowTrix will be hosting late night stages with incredible acts like Goopsteppa, Duffrey, spacegeishA, G-Space, tsimba, and Ultrasloth. Our dear friends at Sub.mission are officially taking over our other daytime stage for a dubstep dream team of Big Chocolate, Thelem, Pushloop, Ternion Sound, DALEK ONE, Apparition, and more.
We welcome returning favorites like Secret Recipe, SuDs, Choppy Oppy, Phers, Treemeista, Krakinov, and Fresno's own ION, as well as first-timers A Hundred Drums, Cloud-D, Luxora Major, Alexandre, ST4RFOX, and the absolute legend Dela Moon. Since the beginning, The Siren Society has been flying high above our main stage, and now we have The Gradient Perspective making its debut on the workshop front.
More surprises will be revealed in our Phase 2 lineup. Until then, organize your crew, and decide if you want to bring an RV (with or without hookups), choose to stay in one of our pre-setup campsites, or go all-in and snag a luxury bungalow with amenities like air-conditioning, power, and WiFi. All of these options and more are yours to choose on our website at www.theuntzfestival.com/buy-tickets where you can peruse all the options—but don't delay, our Early Bird prices will be flying away soon!
As you can see, we've been hard at work on our lineup for months, and will be making improvements on-site to enhance your experience. Those will be revealed in the coming weeks, as well, but in the meantime, share our love of bass music with your family and friends, and in just a few short months we'll all be back home in Mariposa.
