1. D’Angelo - Brown Sugar

Im not entirely sure how I missed out on the reign of D’Angelo when i was younger, but about a year or two ago I read an article on a flight about his downfall and comeback. I Immediately dove deep into his older stuff. Brown Sugar is pretty much everything you could ever want in a soul album. His voice is beautiful and literally every single song on it grooves deep. I listened to the song “Higher” on repeat for several weeks. It is basically what love feels and sounds like in a beautifully written song.
