The Bolivian Marching Affair recently unveiled their Escape Reality Remixes EP via Play Me Records, which featured six bass blaring switch ups of tracks from the group’s previous release. This included floor rattling revamps from artists like Speaker of the House, Synchronice, Dallas Cornell, Parallax, and
Dirt Monkey.
The latter of these producers is a fan favorite over at The Untz, and put his own face melting, serotonin pumping take on “Moonrise.” The tune opens up with aromatic synth progressions and chilling background tones, which draw out a haunting image of what’s to come. Following this is a painstakingly crafty drop, which forcefully creates a groundbreaking juxtaposition between chaotically heavy and enticingly smooth. Precise vocal samples unexpectedly appear at times throughout the track, and spice up the already schizophrenic instrumentationstaken to eleven in an instant.
Dirt Monkey blasts off to uncharted territories with a tantalizing remix of TBMA that has no limits, no boundaries, and makes its own rules at every corner. Try listening to this bad boy only once--we dare you.
