Our ThazDope Records partners are continuing their domination of the midwest bass scene. Actually, scratch that—while a lot of their power comes from the middle of the country, they've been snaking their tendrils out into the southeast, northeast, the Plains, the Mountains, and as far west as California, as evidenced by their phenomenal stage and lineup at The Untz Festival (featuring that unforgettable Yheti sunrise set to close things out).
Speaking of the Yeti Master, he and Toadface and Mt. Analogue will be headlining Sacred Wellness in Peoria, Illinois in February. While it's not a festival, the lineup sure is stacked with talent, and the wellness and education retreat has so many cool workshops and clinics on the schedule, the hardest thing about the weekend long conference will be deciding how to manage your time.
As the run up to Sacred Wellness progresses, ThazDope Records is putting on feeder events that will serve only to heighten the anticipation for the big yoga, creativity, and music celebration.
On December 8th, ThazDope is bringing together some of its brightest stars to give central Illinois a taste of what's to come. The ThazDope Takeover hits The Rail II in West Peoria, Illinois with Moniker, Juju Beats, Danny Grooves, Psydell, Spinion, and KaBASS.
Moniker's Brandon Reid and Jacob Tullos just announced their fall/winter tour schedule. They've been on a steady diet of banging beats releasing plenty of material on Saturate Records with a new EP on Sleeveless Records (Stylust Beats' label) expected later this month. Juju Beats' Julian Seltzer is a solid ThazDope foot soldier out of Atlanta who has been on board from the beginning. Known as MacLethal's "go-to beatmith," Danny Grooves is one of the best hip-hop producers in the midwest, and fans are about to learn why. If you were out at The Untz Festival, perhaps you caught Josh Sidell's special Alejo B2B Psydell sunrise set. If not, you're about to meet your new favorite psychedelic artist.
Make sure to check out sacredwellness.events to learn more about the upcoming conference, and snag your tickets to this ThazDope Takeover event. If you're outside the area, best hit up your local promoter and kindly request a Takeover in your town.
