There could be no more formidable way to open up the fall touring season than two killer shows at the Brooklyn Bowl celebrating the release of TAUK's new record, Sir Nebula.
I got there just in time to grab a beer and catch the beginning of lespecial's set. I've been following these dudes for years now and they just keep getting better. The place was packed and ready to get down! Their sets are massive barrels of intensity that appeal to all walks of life, from funk to dubstep.
TAUK threw down an incredible set filled starting with their classic "Friction," going through some new tracks and some old then blasting out a Beatles cover, a Radiohead cover and a surprisingly awesome rendition of "Still Dre." Everyone was raging. It was quite the album release party. The intensity and energy was palpable.
Matthew Jalbert, "A.C" Carter, Charlie Dolan, and Isaac Teel are firing on all cylinders headed into this weekend's throwdown at Resonance Music & Arts Festival in central Ohio. The road-hungry band continues on from there, kicking the tour off in earnest at the beginning of October with dates in Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Grand Rapids, Milwaukee, and St Louis.
Go see these guys as soon as possible and experience the monster that is TAUK.
