With the biggest initial lineup in its history, SONIC BLOOM leads off its bill with two sets of STS9, the vanguard livetronica act that has been blending electronic and jam sensibilities for nearly two decades. Follow that up with fan favorites Shpongle and Emancipator, and we're already getting somewhere.
Returning acts include Kalya Scintilla & Eve Olution, Desert Dwellers, Thriftworks, Random Rab, Bluetech, Phutureprimitive, VibeSquaD, Janover & reSunator, Andreilien, Russ Liquid, Kaminanda, and festival hosts, ZILLA.
Hip-hop is well represented by Talib Kweli and Chali2Na, backed by The Funk Hunters. Newcomer That 1 Guy is not the only one--for the first time ever at SONIC BLOOM, The Trancident will make an appearance, featuring Michael Kang, Kyle Hollingsworth, Michael Travis, and Jason Hann of The String Cheese Incident. The Trancident will also form the core of the SONIC BLOOM Orchestra, which features a huge amount of talent.
The Untz gave Unlimited Aspect's Unlimited Gravity and Project Aspect their first SONIC BLOOM appearance 5 years ago, so it's only right they return for three total sets. This is the initial lineup, remember, so many more acts will be added here soon!
2015 marks the 10th anniversary of the premier boutique electronic music festival, which has launched the careers of so many of today's superstars from its intimate mountain events along the front range of Colorado.
From June 18-21, the festival breaks in a new location: Hummingbird Ranch in Rye, CO. Panoramic views of the front range, shaded grounds, open meadows, and a creek will greet fans in the spot, which has plenty of room to grow as the festival continues to expand over the years. The location is a 2.5 hour straight shot down I-25 from Denver, just off the highway.
Fans will get their first chance to lock in their GA tickets for the low, low price of $204 for the full weekend. The includes early entry for Thursday festivities, and as always, primitive camping is free. VIP tickets are also on-sale for $384 for the entire weekend, which allows fans exclusive access to a number of upper level perks. RV passes are also up for purchase at this time.
The Unified Field family reunion is slated for the summer solstice, once again, and the mountains and fresh air of Colorado call to fans of cutting edge electronic music. Join your family up in the mountains to ring in the next decade of underground stars.
