ST4RFOXLos Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist and producer ST4RFOX is sitting on a fresh three-track EP that has turned some heads in our corner of the scene. Ready to make his festival debuts at Serenity Gathering and on the ShadowTrix Music stage at The Untz Festival this June, we are taking a deeper look into what this young creator has in front of him.

The Level Up EP features three wildly different tracks that not only demonstrate Kevin Bernard's abilities on woodwind and brass, but also show off his skills as a producer and songwriter.

Foxtrot” goes right for the heart strings, incorporating brass instruments for an equally jazzy and funky vibe. Sampling the saxophone and trumpet in his all-original works, ST4RFOX draws in inspiration from a wide range of genres.

My Crew” features lyrics from another dynamite artist, NewGent. Together the two take conscious rap to the next level with a plethora of delicious wobbles and whomps. Chase Nugent's flow is made for ST4RFOX's sound, and the blend is impeccable.

The closing spot on the EP goes to the mega collab “Orbits McTankworm,” which features artists very familiar to UNTZ faithful, 5am, Zimbu, and Asteroids & Earthquakes. Bernard has actually guested with Sam Andrus' 5am Trio. This full-scale throwdown between all the crew members is a fun, psychedelic trip with plenty of wild flavors.

ShadowTrixAlready earning himself spots sharing the stage with legends like VibeSquaD, Bernard is gaining momentum quickly with these releases. By combining live instruments, hip-hop, and experimental bass, ST4RFOX is bringing some truly innovative sound to the table. He's performing all over the southwest this spring, including stops in San Diego, Anaheim, and Albuquerque with our old pal Alejo. Then there are a couple festivals and a ShadowTrix event in LA in early May before the real fun starts in June.

ST4RFOX joins Bricksquash, Hullabalo0, ONHELL, tiedye ky, VCTRE, and more in the ShadowTrix Music late night room, where underground bass stars are born in a crucible of molten talent and sheer excitement blazed by our fans. Make sure to snag your ticket to be with us June 1-2 with an Early Arrival Party on May 31 in Mariposa, California. You can grab that at www.theuntzfestival.com and make sure you check out all our various amenities we offer on-site.
