Spring Awakening at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois is coming up in a week and a half. The festival originated in 2008 at the Congress Theater and has since outgrown the venue and moved to the home of the Chicago Bears. June 14-16 will mark its second year at Soldier Field and will feature over 100 artists on four stages and feature some of the biggest names in electronic music.

This year there are expected to be 75,000 attendees with headliners Bassnectar, Calvin Harris, and a Moby DJ set. You’ll also get to see Excision, Nero, Wolfgang Gartner, Boys Noize, Gramatik, Break Science, Krewella, Tommy Trash, Zeds Dead, Minnesota, and PANTyRAiD.

Tickets
General admission Spring Awakening tickets are available in three-day passes. The current ticket price is $190.00 plus service fees, and $90.00 plus fees for single-day tickets.

VIP three-day passes are currently sold out, but there are limited single-day VIP tickets available for $140.00 + fees. The VIP package includes prime viewing areas of the stages from the colonnades around Soldier Field that also overlook the downtown skyline and Lake Michigan. VIP ticket holders will have access to private bars with liquor, beer, and wine. The general admission bars will feature beer and wine only. Click here to purchase tickets.

Soldier FieldLodging and Parking
Spring Awakening is not a camping festival. There are many hotels in the area ranging in price. Spring Awakening has partnered with the W City Center and W Lakeshore, the Congress Plaza Hotel, and the Hyatt McCormick Place to offer discount rates for attendees.

Parking is available for those who choose to drive with lots located directly south of the stadium, off of East Waldon Drive. The venue is also easily accessible by cab or public transit, which are encouraged as parking is limited.

Stages
There are four areas to see shows - two stages and two tents. One main stage will be located at the north endzone of Soldier Field, while the other will be on “Stadium Green.” There will be a tent next to Lake Shore Drive and another next to the colonnades on the east side of the stadium.

After Parties
All music at the festival ends at 11:00 p.m. each night. Fortunately, Spring Awakening provides a variety of official after parties at various nightclubs in Chicago. The MID, owned and operated by React Presents, the festival’s promotion company, hosts Moby, Calvin Harris, Revolvr, and NERVO, while the House of Blues in Chicago has after parties scheduled with PANTyRAiD, Zomboy, Excision, Minnesota, Zeds Dead, and Salva. Click here for a full list of after party locations, lineups, and tickets.

Facilities
The stadium bathrooms are available for use, which is a perk as they offer the opportunity to get out of the heat.
