Make no mistake about it: Psydell is one of the most exciting acts in the glitch-hop scene today. With a sound akin to his peers in the field Sixis, BogTroTTer, Whitebear, and Alejo, Josh Sidell is still finding his voice and cementing his legacy in the glitch industry.
On August 6th, Psydell releases Tekkulah, a four-track EP and his latest entry into the canon that will shape his career. The Addictech Records EP contains all those exciting elements that inevitably result in comparisons to Tipper, but Sidell is also pushing the boundaries of his own production game, and it's exciting to hear him test those limits.
Today we premiere “Lorcepts,” the EP's closer. Brash, lazer bass fires off in every conceivable direction from this big and bold tune, which really feels like a full-body immersion into a sensory overload tank. Don't listen to this on tinny drug store earbuds otherwise you're missing 98% of the experience. It's a deep dive into the mind of a madman.
Psydell joins Mickman, DeeZ, and EasyJack at an outdoor event in Pekin, Illinois on Saturday, August 24th.
