The news from the Pretty Lights camp keeps rollin' out. A day after revealing that he had stockpiled four songs from the A Color Map of the Sun sessions, and would be releasing a double 10" vinyl set, The Hidden Shades, including remixes from Emancipator, Love and Light, Blue Sky Black Death, and the previously released Odesza remix for "Lost and Found," Derek Vincent Smith finally gave fans the full story on his forthcoming SnowBall performance.
Instead of bringing out the live band, the Pretty Lights set on April 5th at Sports Authority Park at Mile High Stadium in Denver, CO will include longtime collaborator and Break Science drummer Adam Deitch, as well as DMC Champion Chris Karns. The Denver native has worked with Yelawolf, Bassnectar, and an astounding array of artists as a producer, but his DJ skills will be put to the test, as the PL set is said to "allow for a whole new world of sonic exploration in the hip hop electronica galaxy."
Not sure what that means, but we're excited to find out! In the meantime, journey through Karns' SoundCloud for a taste of the man's skills.
