As if Willdabeast didn't have enough on his plate lining up the 20+ piece Michal Menert Big Band for its April 24th Red Rocks date with Savoy, today the trumpeter and producer debuts his new track with Denver's Rygol, a glitch-hop beatsmith with a head for the Mountain Music of Colorado.

Will Glazier's Snug Harbor forms the foundation for Menert's live band, but the influence has gone the other way, as "Pick Me Up" combines elements of that electro-soul sound with trappy elements, and of course that ubiquitous horn. Chill and cutting-edge at the same time, this wild combo definitely has some legs, and we're interested to see where this sonic collaboration with Matthew Rygol goes.

Willdabeast joins Menert this Thursday at Barboza in Seattle, WA, and that same day (April 2), Rygol makes a stop at Bar Standard in Denver for the Mile High Sound Movement's new Thursday weekly. These are the ones to watch.
