Arizona-based bass producer Oh Tebins! gave us a little holiday treat this week, following up his Sleep Helmet EP with something a little more hip-hop; a little less ambient. “These Days Done” opens with a slow clap of a bassline, echoing male vocals and a persistent synthetic tone that breaks into a dubbydrumstep track with sliding layers, chilled out breakdowns and the same repeating vocals. With a few too many moments of grime to be called chillstep and too many tempo changes to truly be dub, the track is best described as drumstep on ice. So take a sip; it goes down smooth.
