Backwoods Music Festival made some big additions today for the Labor Day Weekend festival hitting Tatanka Ranch in Stroud, OK from September 2-4 at the end of the summer. The event made the leap from small midwest jam fest to big hulking EDM monster last year, and fans in the Plains (and beyond) are loving it.
UK powerhouse NERO has added a live set to the top line of Backwoods bill. They join fellow headliners Big Gigantic, Nahko & Medicine for the People, and fellow Phase 2 newcomers moe. as the big acts on the lineup.
More additions include UNTZ faves like Filibusta and Dreamers Delight, who join acts like Liquid Stranger, Manic Focus, Wick-it The Instigator, and VibeSquaD, who is on his farewell tour. A good mix of jam, electronica, roots rock, dub, and hip-hop brings a little something for everyone at this event.
There are still at least two more names to be added to this lineup. The Untz Challenge VII will select the popular vote winner and the staff pick to head to Backwoods to close out their summer festival circuit. Voting just opened up this week, and continues through April 8. Vote for the act you want to send to Backwoods, as well as six other major festivals this season.
Backwoods will have a brand new main stage design, and is implementing new activities for fans like a hay maze and giant slip-n-slide. You can visit the website to find out what's new this year, as well as grab your festival passes. Visit backwoodsmusicfestival.com to snag your tickets!
