We live in a world of instant gratification, but waiting for new music that is both genuinely good and inarguably unique is always worth it. Electrocado’s latest release Scribble drives that point home. The eclectic 11-track masterpiece was dropped after three years of work via Gravitas Recordings, and it was worth waiting every moment for its textured deliciousness.
Electrocado is comprised of glitch-hop guru Mr. Bill and psychedelic sound connoisseur Ryanosaurus; the two producers’ varying backgrounds blend seamlessly in Scribble to craft a fully dynamic album. The wide sonic crevasse between the laidback acoustic musings of “Baited” and the industrial psytrance of “Shmog” perfectly demonstrates just how much range and diversity the two possess. Being the talented sound engineers that they are, Bill Day and Ryan Whare managed to smoothly tie that wide range together to create a euphonic addiction with the help of a few friends: FM Radio Gods, Circuit Bent and Morgan Agren.
Electrocado and Gravitas Recordings are offering Scribble at a pay-what-you-want price point, so make sure to check it on Bandcamp, and cough up some cheddar.
