Catskill Chill

As if they couldn't build anymore hype for Catskill Chill, this announcement hits the world today. Long time chillfam, Lettuce, will be joining the bill. Not only are they becoming part of this legendary kick off to New Minglewood in Lakewood, Pennsylvania and playing a rip-roaring set, but they will be performing Bitches Bloom: A Tribute to Miles Davis.

The members of Lettuce, Eric Bloom, Adam Deitch, Ryan Zoidis, Nigel Hall, Adam Smirnoff, and Erick Coomes will be joined by Break Science’s, Borahm Lee to perform this momentous occasion. You know this set will NOT be one to missed. Mile Davis has influenced so many artists across the board and now in 2016 we get to experience a morphed funk version of his work. Can you think of any other festival holding a musical ceremony honoring the master, Mile Davis? I can’t, this one is going to be special.

The Break Science boys will be mighty busy between the Lettuce projects, their own sets (live band and original), as well as these special concoctions. But that's the fun of Catskill Chill--there's always tons of music to see, it covers a super wide array of styles, and the artists are having just as much fun as the fans (if not more). These Wave 3 additions join Mike Gordon, Greensky Bluegrass, Electron, Dopapod, Goldfish, Perpetual Groove, Turkuaz, The Werks, The Main Squeeze, Pink Talking Fish, Space Jesus, and many more.

Catskill Chill will also hold a live performance of the first ever CDM (classical dance music) band. Reed Mathis & Electric Beethoven consists of Reed Mathis (Billy & the Kids, Tea Leaf Green), Jay Lane (Primus, Ratdog), Todd Stoops (RAQ), Cochrane McMillan (Tea Leaf Green), and Clay Welch. And to top it all off, the finale of Wave 3 lineup announcement is the 10 piece soul/funk band Funky Dawgz Brass Band.

The first year at New Minglewood is already proving to be a big one for the long-running, jam-oriented festival, but the strong fan support and wickedly thick lineup is going to make the move all that much easier.

Believe the hype for Catskill Chill! This years is going to be monumental. Don’t miss out. Grab your tickets while you still can. Head on over to their website, and lock down your spot.
