Alex Medellin just dropped his first album on Super Best Records, and what an unprecedented audio sermon it is. Late Night Radio really pushed his boundaries as a producer with Soap Box, and the extension of his creativity shines from beginning till end.
You can't help but be struck deeply by the holy spirit with Medellin's new release, and there are seriously some gems on this electro-soul-downtempo-hip-hop blend. It's so hard to categorize this into one electronic subgenre, because he really articulates himself with such diversity in his drums patterns, synths, and melodies on the free LP. You still get that classic LNR soul swing to nod yourself into a spell and under his control. DYNOHUNTER's saxman Clark Smith and SunSquabi guitarist Kevin Donohue also guest in starring roles.
Back in the day, If you had something to say that you wanted to be heard you would stand on the soapbox. Tie one up, then do yourself a favor and press play on this Super Best freshness.
