The words “bass," "snare," and "trap” aren’t the first that come to mind when I think of Katy Perry, but EDM producer Brillz takes Perry’s “Roar” and jams it full of all of those elements. I would imagine it takes some effort to make a mainstream pop song so dirty, but Brillz makes it look like a piece of cake with his addition of trappy drops and awesomely disorienting snare. I’ve got to admit, Brillz’s trapped out makeover successfully kills the original song’s cheesiness. Give it a listen, even if you aren’t a Katy Perry fan. Especially if you aren't a Katy Perry fan.
