The members of the new Bay Area trance duo Dissolve are featured on this week's The Untz Podcast.  Liam Shy has been DJ'ing at San Francisco psytrance parties since he was a teenager.  In addition to throwing enormous events in the Castro with Tantra Productions, Shy has developed music for video games, run sound for concerts, and even set up a scholarship for young electronic artists.

His new project, Dissolve, features classically-trained violinist Valentin Santana.  The two combine electronic trance, classical composition, and tribal beats to create their new sound.  Shy and Santana plan to release their first album in early 2011.

On next week's show, catch up with another Bay Area phenom, Ana Sia. She's come up quickly, gigging with the likes of the Glitch Mob and Eliot Lipp at bigger and better clubs, theaters, and festivals. She'll be DJ'ing at the Global Dance Festival at Red Rocks (Deadmau5, Paul Van Dyk, Kaskade, and more) and anchoring a Forecastle late-night show with Big Gigantic...on a riverboat!
