Earlier this fall, Desert Dwellers unveiled the massive first half of The Great Mystery Remixes, which featured huge acts in the transformational, downtempo, and psychedelic bass scenes reinterpreting tracks from the legendary duo's album from earlier this year, The Great Mystery. This week, Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe finalize the remix series with another powerful list of industry veterans and up-and-comers who carefully crafted their own tributes to Desert Dwellers, including Sixis, Soohan, David Starfire, Whitebear, Mystral, Supersillyus, Lulacruza, Erothyme, Mumukshu, and Aligning Minds. This collection, The Great Mystery Remixes Part 2, is available now on the pair's own Desert Trax label.

Without a doubt, the biggest name amongst the remixers is Emancipator, whose contribution stands out in the collection. Doug Appling applies his subtle, downtempo and hip-hop signature sound to "Wings Of Waves," turning in a stunning, soothing, and somewhat psychedelic twist on the track. It's a gorgeous composition that will make Emancipator fans rejoice for more new material (in addition to his Seven Seas release, behind which he's touring with the Emancipator Ensemble this fall), and make new fans for Desert Dwellers, who continue their own Earth Heart tour with Kalya Scintilla & Eve Olution in Philadelphia, PA, Baltimore, MD, and New York, NY this week.
