Once again, Electric Forest Festival returned in stunning fashion to the Double JJ Ranch in beautiful Rothbury, Michigan. While the drought that had been plaguing the Midwest drove temperatures into the 80s and 90s, festivalgoers sought shade in the immense Sherwood Forest, decorated to the 9's with an immaculate laser ensemble, ornate outposts, soaring banners, and a smile that hung on everyone's face. From circus acts to musical performers, entertainment and spectacle were once again at the forefront of Madison House and Insomniac's thoughts when it came to assembling a huge lineup that boasted acts like Bassnectar, STS9, Steve Aoki, Girl Talk, Thievery Corporation, Major Lazer, and more.

Host Anand Harsh spoke with Gramatik onsite at Electric Forest Festival about his latest album, #digitalfreedom, his new guitarist for the summer tour, and what's been inspiring his latest work.
