Multi-instrumentalist, David Starfire, is pushing the bass music envelope with his new mix. Rites of Passage fuses his love for drum 'n' bass and the new ethos of drumstep to take a crack at some of the West Coast's most prominent producers, as well artists from around the globe and back in time. Jillian Ann & Love and Light, Son of Kick, Bass Science, and more all get reworkings, as well as some old faves from the Fab Four and Bob Marley, interestingly enough. Starfire is shifts tempos and dynamics to the extremes with some high intensity LFOs and a panache for the breakbeat.
