Tom Holroyd is kindly asking that you buckle up. The Steel City's production prodigy best known for club-ready electro has elevated his game to new heights.
Thrill Ride is the new EP from
Comic Strips, and it's everything that it's advertised to be. This title track slams that churning 110 BPM kick home with heavy bass and progressive synth work. Settling somewhere between the powerful pop sense of Porter Robinson and the ear for originality of Feed Me, "Thrill Ride" is a scintillating example of the raw talent of the young Holroyd. Bursting at the seams with layer up layer of glitter and glitz, there's a real compositional architecture lying just beneath the shiny surface. The meticulous edits and attention to detail pack a payoff worthy of it's mantra: holy shit!
