After last year’s highly successful inaugural event, the BUKU Music + Art Project is set to return to New Orleans’ Mardi Gras World March 8-9. The event features top talent from the electronic, hip hop and indie rock worlds as well as extensive local food and beverage vendors and visual interactive art installations. The festival established itself as one of the Gulf Coast’s premier events by offering musical performances and art installations in a unique, intimate, post-industrial setting along the Mississippi River.
The 2013 festival’s musical lineup features Kid Cudi, Calvin Harris, Primus 3D, Passion Pit, Kendrick Lamar, STS9, NERO, Flux Pavilion, Zedd, Major Lazer, Best Coast, Big Gigantic, Datsik, Dillon Francis, R3hab, Alt-J, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Earl Sweatshirt, Starfucker, Lettuce, Flosstradamus, RAC, Aeroplane, Shlohmo, St. Lucia, JMSN, Poolside, Big Freedia and more in addition to a slew of regional artists.
The BUKU Music + Art Project will once again take place at Mardi Gras World. Minutes away from the famed French Quarter, the venue is one of the leading Mardi Gras float production houses and home to many of the most elaborate Mardi Gras floats in the world.
